2021 Season Update

As recently announced, Red Rocks Amphitheatre has been cleared to open for our 80th anniversary season with a reduced capacity – currently set at 2,500. Everyone on the Red Rocks team is excited to welcome fans and live music back to this special place.

Throughout the season, all events will be held in alignment with government guidelines. While 2,500 is the number we’re currently allowed to have, please know that conditions and event capacities may be updated and hopefully increase throughout the summer.

New shows that are announced will be sold at the allowable capacity.

A number of shows currently on the Red Rocks calendar reflect concerts that were rescheduled from the 2020 season when COVID-19 was changing the schedule. There will likely be additional movement to the calendar in the days and weeks ahead. Please know that the decisions to hold, cancel or reschedule events are at the discretion of our promoter partners, in conjunction with artists and acts, and they will be making decisions for future events closer to the show with an eye on how COVID-related conditions are improving.

Fans with tickets to shows rescheduled from 2020 should hold on to their tickets, as those tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. If a show is rescheduled again to later in 2021 or 2022, ticket holders will receive a notification from AXS about the rescheduled show. Fans who purchased their tickets through the official Red Rocks website or axs.com will have a 30 day window to manage their refund request within their AXS account.

If a show is canceled, and fans purchased their tickets through the official Red Rocks website or axs.com, a refund is automatically provided through AXS. Refunds may take up to 30 days after you receive the cancellation is announced.

Covid Event & Venue Protocols

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our commitment remains to prioritize the safety of Red Rocks fans, staff and artists. Below you will find some notable event and venue protocols we have developed and adopted to help you and others be safe while having fun during your event outing. It’s important to follow these protocols to ensure everyone’s safety and to help keep shows playing at Red Rocks. Please know that conditions and capacities may update throughout the season based on guidance from City and State authorities and fans should be aware of changes that may affect this experience.

What We Are Doing

Requiring Face Coverings

We are requiring you and the other guests to wear a face covering that covers your mouth and nose while you enjoying your concert outing at Red Rocks at all times except when actively eating or drinking.

Creating Social Distance

Your Red Rocks experience has been modified to support social distancing guidelines during events, including the creation of four general admission sections within the seating bowl – each with dedicated parking lots and amphitheatre entrances. Your ticket will indicate which section your seat is in, and you will receive a wristband upon entering the amphitheatre that allows access to your designated section – this wristband must be worn at all times. You and your party (up to 6 people) must keep at least 6 feet from other parties in the seating area and other areas of the amphitheatre, including restroom and concession lines and parking lots.

Every other row of the amphitheatre will be blocked off to help create distance. Unfortunately, if you try to access sections other than your designated section, you will be subject to ejection from the show. It is important for you to keep your wristband in place so we can identify your correct location.

Venue Sanitization

High-touch surfaces and common areas such as door handles, counters and tables are being cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Restrooms and Sanitization Stations

Each section of the amphitheatre has convenient access to designated restrooms. We ask that you use the restroom located closest to your section. Each restroom will feature touch-free fixtures for your safety, and they will be cleaned and sanitized for your visit to Red Rocks. Additionally,  hand sanitizer dispensers will be located in various locations around the amphitheatre.

Concessions

Each section will have access to concession stands – we ask you use the concession stand designated for your section. Please maintain 6 feet between other guests outside of your party while in line.

Concession stands will have plexiglass barriers and cashless payment to help keep you safe. When purchasing alcoholic beverages, you will be asked to show an ID to prove you are over 21 and may be asked to remove your mask briefly for identity verification.

Staff Health Screenings

There will be staff on site to assist you during your visit and to help with everyone’s compliance with these protocols. Staff members will go through a health screening prior to their shift and are required to wear face coverings and maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from you and others whenever possible.

Touchless Experience

From digital ticketing in the Red Rocks app, to cashless concession payments, to touch-free restroom fixtures, we are committed to a touchless experience and have implemented these measures to keep people safe.

Park and Amphitheatre Entrances

For all events, you must enter the park and the amphitheatre using the designated entrance for your assigned section. Your will be reminded of this information will in the Know Before You Go email that you receive the morning of your event.

Accessibility

Accessible seating is available for every event and will also require 6 feet of physical distancing between parties. Other protocols related to the accessibility at Red Rocks remain the same, including the provision of the shuttle from the Upper South Lot to the South Ramp entrance, however the shuttle service will limit the number of guests on the shuttle and will sanitize seats after each use for your safety.


What You Can Do

Follow Venue Guidelines

Follow all venue guidelines and signage during your visit, practice social distancing and wash or sanitize your hands frequently.

Wear Face Coverings

Face coverings are required for all events and must be worn at all times when not actively eating and drinking.

Stay Home if you are Sick

If you or someone in your feels sick or is showing symptoms of COVID-19, including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat nausea, etc., or have been in close contact with anyone confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 , we ask that you respect the safety of others and stay home.

Stay with your Party

We ask that you stay within your designed section and do not mingle with unassociated parties during the event. Parties are limited to no more than 6 people.
