COVID-19 GUIDELINES: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our commitment remains to prioritize the safety of Red Rocks fans, staff and artists. Visit our COVID-19 Guidelines page to review the event and venue protocols we have developed and adopted to help you and others be safe while having fun during your event outing.
COVID-19 EVENTS IMPACTED: Concerts scheduled for the Red Rocks summer concert season are managed by individual promoters and many events (from both 2020 / 2021 seasons) have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Ticket holders for affected shows will be notified via our ticketing partner, AXS, in regards to cancellations, postponements and/or rescheduled dates. For a complete list of events (both 2020/2021) impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including rescheduled dates and cancellations, click here.
Red Rocks Park is open to the public from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset every day of the year.
Park Entrances 1 and 2 are open for vehicle entry; all traffic must exit through Park Entrance 2. The Trading Post is open and selling merchandise. The Ship Rock Grille remains closed, however concessions are being sold on the top plaza. The Trading Post Trail loop and the Southwest corner of the park is currently closed for habitat protection. Vehicles will not be permitted to enter the park after 7:30 p.m. Face coverings are required in the amphitheatre and must be kept on your person at all times.
On concert days the amphitheatre usually closes to the public after lunch for sound checks and other operational issues. However, the amphitheatre may be closed to the public at any time on a day when a concert is scheduled. Occasionally the amphitheatre may be closed to the public on a non-concert day for a private function such as a rehearsal.
The standard time for the Box Office to open is four hours prior to show time and is open day of show only. Please check your event on our calendar for door time.
Access to the amphitheatre is subject to scheduled events. Ticket may be required for admittance.
The Red Rocks concert season runs from April through October. Events for the following season are typically announced one-by-one, starting as early as August of the previous year and as late as a few weeks prior to the event. Sign up to receive concert alerts here.
AXS is the ticketing services provider for Red Rocks Amphitheatre and other City of Denver venues. Please visit the Red Rocks Calendar to purchase tickets online for a specific event or concert. Using the “Tickets” button will take you to the ticketing page for that event. You may also purchase tickets via phone by calling 888-9-AXS-TIX.
AXS Mobile Delivery is digital ticketing technology that provides the flexibility and convenience of safely and securely managing tickets online or in the Red Rocks app. It is the preferred admission method at Red Rocks. It eliminates paper tickets and allows you to enter the venue with your AXS Mobile ID and manage your tickets digitally. AXS Mobile Delivery and the Red Rocks app gives you the ability to safely transfer, sell and buy seats through the official Red Rocks Fan Exchange, powered by AXS.
Please note that tickets purchased in Rows 1-4 are non-transferable, meaning they must be used by the original purchaser. Promoters may expand the non-transferable seating beyond Row 4 on a show-by-show basis, so refer to your order to review whether your seats are transferable. For all fans with non-transferable tickets, the original purchaser MUST arrive with the entire ticketed party and present a AXS Mobile Delivery-approved credential. Photo identification may be required at any time onsite within the venue.
If tickets are still available for that day’s show, and other upcoming shows, you can usually purchase them at the Box Office. The Box Office is only open on show days, and it typically opens four hours before show start time. It is located on Red Pocks Park Road (Entrance 2).
All available Red Rocks tickets can also be purchased at the Denver Coliseum (4600 Humboldt St, Denver) on Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. UPDATE: The Denver Coliseum box office is closed until further notice due to the threat of the spread of COVID-19. If your event is either cancelled or rescheduled with a new date, and you purchased tickets via cash at our Coliseum box office outlet, you will be able to obtain a refund when we re-open.
Although the promoter of some shows may have a different policy, generally children under 2 years of age do not need a ticket. They are required to sit on the lap of the adult and to not interfere with someone else’s seat.
Due to security issues, once you are past the entry gates and your ticket has been scanned, you cannot leave the show and re-enter. Re-entry is only permitted in weather-related or medical emergencies.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue and shows typically occur in all elements of Colorado weather, so be prepared for adverse weather conditions, including full exposure to the sun, strong wind and even severe rain or snow. It is always wise to dress in layers, have a poncho on hand and to wear sunscreen.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, as routes from parking lots to the gates may be partially dirt, uphill and sometimes lengthy in distance, dependent on what time you arrive.
If you are instructed to leave the venue for a weather delay or cancellation, in most cases, your vehicle is your safest shelter. Be sure to keep your ticket stub or seat locator for re-entry once the all-clear is issued.
Parking lots open for shows 2 hours before event door time. We recommend arriving early to avoid traffic and ensure you have plenty of time to get to the venue.
There is plenty of parking in our many lots, but we encourage you to carpool or use a rideshare service when possible.
For most shows, parking is included in the price of your ticket. No additional fee is charged at the venue on the day of a performance.
Please park as directed by Red Rocks staff members. Cars blocking or impeding traffic, or illegally parked, will be relocated. If your vehicle is relocated, contact a staff member for assistance.
The best drop-off/pick-up points for ride share are at the Trading Post or Lower South Lot 2, and the Top Circle Lot for limos.
Vehicles parked incorrectly or left overnight (not relocated prior to 10 a.m. the following day) may be ticketed or towed.
