This summer, Michael Franti & Spearhead will launch the first-ever music & yoga tour, “Soulshine,” that will bridge daytime and nighttime experiences including music, yoga, sustainable lifestyle and DJs, guaranteeing a full-blown dance party! SOJA, Brett Dennen and Trevor Hall will be joining the tour along with Special Guest Yoga Teachers. Each afternoon on the Soulshine tour will begin with a mass yoga and acoustic music jam with Michael Franti & Friends, led by some of today’s most inspiring teachers from across North America. The yoga session is designed for people of all experience levels, ages, shapes and sizes and will feature artists participating side by side with fans. The afternoon Yoga and acoustic music jam will give way to the full concert in the evening.

Musician, humanitarian, and children’s book author Michael Franti (www.michaelfranti.com) (Amazon.com) is recognized as a pioneering force, using music as a vehicle for positive change, as well as his unforgettable, high energy shows with his band Spearhead. With the multi-platinum success of his song “Say Hey (I Love You)” and the chart-breaking release of The Sound Of Sunshine, Franti and his band guarantee a show that will be thought-provoking as well as a fun dance party! “Music is sunshine,” says Franti, one of the most positive and conscious artists in music today. “Music gives us new energy and a stronger sense of purpose.” Franti has a brand new single, “I’m Alive (Life Sounds Like),” hitting radio now and leading into his new album this summer. Find out why Franti has been called “arguably God’s greatest gift to the concert stage since Bruce Springsteen and U2… when Franti and his superb band, Spearhead, step foot on the stage, you will bear witness to one of the greatest musical miracles of your life… you will walk into the show a fan but leave feeling like Franti is a close friend.” (antiMUSIC)

After the overwhelming success of his 2011 release Loverboy, Brett Dennen (brettdennen.net) (Amazon.com) retreated to his mountain house in Northern California, where he found inspiration in his surroundings and the simplicity of nature. The result is his latest studio album, Smoke and Mirrors—the culmination of his transition from a coffeehouse folk singer to a celebrated and critically acclaimed front man. Dennen’s earnest and honest lyrics, sweet melodies, and pure vocals make him a “folk-rock revelation” (Washington Post).

American reggae band SOJA (sojamusic.com) (Amazon.com) has been making a name for itself with its fourth studio album, Strength to Survive, which stayed on theBillboard Reggae Album Chart for over 65 weeks. Lead singer and guitarist Jacob Hemphill, who spent his early childhood in Africa (the son of an International Monetary Fund rep in Liberia), met bassist Bobby Lee in his Virginia grade school. They became best friends, finding common ground through their love of hip hop, rock and reggae, which they performed at school talent shows. The two formed SOJA (Soldiers of Jah Army) when they were in high school. The band has sold more than 150,000 albums, headlined a number of festivals, and performed in more than 15 countries.
