A Colorado summer tradition, DeVotchKa’s annual homecoming celebrates the soon-to-be fifth collaborative performance with your Colorado Symphony. JUST ANNOUNCED: Grammy Award winning, Ozomatli, joins DeVotchKa to open the evening at Colorado’s most famous outdoor venue, Red Rocks Amphitheatre! DeVotchKa returns with their lush orchestrations combined with the rich, expansive sounds of the Colorado Symphony in a stunning evening can only be described as “total bliss.” This year, the concert will open with NBC Last Comic Standing winner Josh Blue.
This joint concert between DeVotchKa, the Colorado Symphony, and unique guest artists has become a Colorado summer tradition. Now in its fifth year and with new music – this concert is set to be even more spectacular than in years past.
DeVotchKa’s lush instrumentations combined with the full orchestral power of the Colorado Symphony sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. This concert will follow DeVotchKa’s unique partnership with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for the musical Sweeney Todd where they will be “serving up a delicious reinvention of Sondheim’s magnificent musical thriller.”
Comedian Josh Blue exploded onto the national comedy scene by capturing the attention and endearment of the country as the winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His stand-up routine is in a constant state of evolution and his off-the-cuff improvisational skills guarantee that no two shows are exactly alike.
