Flash Seats FAQ

New to Red Rocks this year is Flash Seats! This digital ticketing system is part of some new ticketing and seating procedures being implemented for concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, beginning April 1, 2018.

Getting Started

What is Flash Seats?

Flash Seats is an ID-based, digital ticketing system and the preferred admission method at Red Rocks. It eliminates paper tickets and allows you to enter Red Rocks events with a Flash Seats ID, your driver's license or the credit card used to purchase tickets. Flash Seats is currently in use at other local venues, including Pepsi Center, and allows you to manage your tickets digitally. It also gives you the ability to transfer, sell and buy seats through an official marketplace endorsed by Red Rocks.

Why did Red Rocks decide to use Flash Seats?

Flash Seats allows for convenience, flexibility and security. Fans can manage tickets digitally, transfer or sell tickets when needed, and remain assured that all tickets are authentic and secure. The move to Flash Seats is being done in conjunction with some new seating requirements, all designed to put tickets in the hands of Red Rocks fans. Beginning in the 2018 season, tickets purchased in Rows 1-4 are non-transferable, meaning they must be used by the original purchaser. This change was made to combat ticket scalping, particularly in Row 1, which is designated as wheelchair accessible and limited mobility seating. This seating policy does not apply to Film on the Rocks or fitness events.

Fans who purchase tickets in accessible seating sections will be asked to verify their need for accessible seating during the purchase process. Those seated in the front accessible seats in Rows 1-2 will be prompted for identification and wrist-banded when initially seated. Promoters may expand the non-transferable seating beyond Row 4 on a show-by-show basis, so please refer to your order to review whether your seats are transferable. For all fans with non-transferable tickets, the original purchaser MUST arrive with entire ticketed party and present a Flash Seats-approved credential, so please take this into consideration when arriving at your event.

How do I create a Flash Seats account?

Visit redrocks.flashseats.com and click Register at the top of the page. You will be asked to enter some basic account information, followed by your credit card information. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED. Your credit card information is simply a unique identifier. After completing the account information, you may buy, sell or manage any seats in your account.

You can also register using the Red Rocks mobile app (available May 2018). The Red Rocks mobile app is compatible with iOS 10.0.0 or later for iPhone and with Android 4.1.2 or later for the Android devices.

What if I don't want to use Flash Seats?

  • E-Tickets: There will be no e-tickets available for Red Rocks events after May 15, 2018. Tickets purchased from 4/19-5/15 will have the option of free e-tickets along with the preferred Flash Seats delivery.
  • Premium Mail Delivery (Hard Printed Ticket): $15/order - not available for Rows 1-4 (and other non-transferable rows identified by the show promoter).
  • Will Call (Hard Printed Ticket): $15/order - available for pickup on day of show at Red Rocks Box Office, which opens four hours prior to show start time
  • Fan Club Delivery: If you purchased tickets from a Fan Club, ticket delivery will vary dependent on the promoter, fan club site and choice of customer. Rows 1-4 will be Will Call delivery only through Flash Seats, meaning the ticket purchaser must go to the Box Office, show an ID and accept the ticket in the Flash account. If no account exists, one must be created to receive the tickets.

Entering the Amphitheatre

How do I get into the amphitheater?

With Flash Seats, your registered ID gets you into the venue.
Please have your Flash Seats ID displayed via the Red Rocks App or Flash Seats app, Wi-Fi is available at all gates. You may also present another convenient form of digital ID (Flash Seats registered credit card or driver's license).

  • Show your Flash Seats ID to the Guest Services Representative who will scan it through a hand-held device
  • You'll be given a Seat Locator stub, which indicates the location of your seats
  • Give your Seat Locator to an usher to help you find your seats
  • Enjoy the event!

What if my guests arrive at different times?

Many fans find it best to TRANSFER the seats to their guests prior to the event. This way your guests will be able to enter when they arrive using their own Flash Seats ID.

What if my credit card is lost or stolen?

If your credit card is lost or stolen and replaced by your credit card company before the event, you can register the new card on Flash Seats and remove your old card. If you do not have your credit card upon arrivnig at the event, Flash resolution stations are located at each gate for ticketing customer service.

Transferring on Flash Seats

Transferring your seats

A seat transfer allows you to digitally give each guest in your party their own ticket via Flash Seats. With seat transfers, you no longer need to worry about delivering the paper tickets to them in advance or meeting them outside of the gates to walk in together. There is no fee for transferring seats and you are allowed unlimited transfers.

Your guests must have a Flash Seats account to access their seats. Also, your guests can digitally transfer the seats back to you if they can no longer attend, or you can simply cancel the transfer if they haven’t already set up a Flash Seats account.

Note that some areas within Red Rocks Amphitheatre are non-transferable. Refer to your order to review whether your seats are transferable. If they are, follow these steps to complete a transfer to a different recipient:

  1. Log in, and then click TICKETS in the toolbar
  2. Find the event and tickets you want to transfer and click TRANSFER.
  3. Check the boxes for the tickets you want to transfer.
  4. Enter the name and email of the recipient and click PREVIEW THE FLASH TRANSFER
  5. Click CONFIRM TRANSFER and the recipient will immediately receive an email with instructions on how to claim the tickets

Can I cancel a transfer?

It depends on whether the guests you're transferring to already have a Flash Seats account. If they already have an account, the seats are transferred instantaneously to their account, so you cannot cancel a transfer once you've initiated it. If the people you're transferring to do not have a Flash Seats account and do not pick up the tickets you've transferred, you can cancel a transfer.

Non-transferable tickets

  • Beginning in the 2018 season, tickets purchased in Rows 1-4 are non-transferable, meaning they must be used by the original purchaser. Promoters may expand the non-transferable seating beyond Row 4 on a show-by-show basis, so please refer to your order to review whether your seats are transferable.
  • For all fans with non-transferable tickets, the original purchaser MUST arrive with entire ticketed party and present a Flash-Seats approved credential (Red Rocks app or Flash Seats app is preferred, but registered credit card is accepted). Photo identification may be required at any time onsite within the venue.
  • Fans with tickets to Row 1 will be required to enter the amphitheater through the South Ramp. Parking staff will be in communication with the Accessible Liaison to coordinate traffic directions to the Upper South Lot and Accessible Shuttle Pick-Up
  • Fans using tickets for Accessible Seats in Rows 1-2 will be asked to attest that they or someone in their party require the features of those seats at the Upper South Shuttle pick-up location and at the entrance to the accessible seating location inside the amphitheater
  • The Row 1 Liaison will wristband and mark the wristbands with seat numbers that the patron(s) occupy

Selling on Flash Seats

Selling your tickets

The fan-to-fan exchange is the best place to sell your seats because it is the official marketplace endorsed by Red Rocks. Tickets purchased through unofficial sources (such as Craigslist, StubHub, etc.) may not be valid.

Reminder: Some seats at Red Rocks Amphitheatre are non-transferable and are not qualified to be resold. Refer to your original order to determine whether your tickets are transferable. Please note that the name on the order must match the ID presented in the case that a patron needs assistance from the box office.

  1. Log in and click TICKETS in the toolbar
  2. Find the event and tickets you want to list for sale and click SELL
  3. Check the boxes for the tickets you want to list for sale
  4. Enter your asking price per ticket, the listing expiration date and time, and add any additional seat description
  5. Click PREVIEW OFFER, then click CONFIRM OFFER and your seat will be immediately posted

Buying on Flash Seats

Buying tickets

Tickets for Red Rocks Amphitheatre events can be purchased via RedRocksOnline.com, the Red Rocks app, AXS.com, the Flash Seats app or the Flash Seats website. Within Flash Seats, just click or tap on the BUY tab and find the Red Rocks Amphitheatre venue to being browsing upcoming shows.

What if the show is sold out?

New to 2018 is the Official Red Rocks Fan-to-Fan Exchange, the only verified marketplace where fans can connect to buy, sell and transfer tickets.
