Slightly Stoopid (featuring Karl Denson) with Cypress Hill, Tribal Seeds
Slightly Stoopid is excited to return to the legendary venue that has hosted them numerous times, including four previous sell-out shows: 2007 with G Love and Ozomatli; 2008 with Sly & Robbie and Pepper; 2009 with Snoop Dogg and Stephen Marley; and 2012 with 311 and SOJA.
Slightly Stoopid previously teamed up with Cypress Hill in Colorado at the Mile High Music Festival in 2010. Meanwhile, Slightly Stoopid will be celebrating the holidays in their home state this week, with an appearance at the annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert at Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 8th.
Slightly Stoopid will heat up stages at intimate venues across the land in January 2013 with their "Top of the World" Winter and Spring Tours. The band will kick off its run on January 9th in Albuquerque, bringing their one-of-a-kind sound throughout the U.S. Southwest and West Coast as well as Canada. Slightly Stoopid won't be slowing down for long after that, as the band's trek will take them throughout the South beginning April 17th in Lexington, KY and wrapping up in Nashville on April 27, with more dates to be announced soon.
Top of the World was released on the band's Stoopid Records on August 14, 2012 and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 13, Billboard's Independent Albums chart at No. 3, and the Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts at a peak position of No. 4. The band's previous releases include Slightly Not Stoned Enough To Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid (a compilation of B-sides and new material); Chronchitis (which debuted in the Billboard 100 and hit #2 on the indie charts); Closer To The Sun, Winter Tour '05-'06; their first-ever DVD, Live in San Diego; Everything You Need (selling more than 250,000 copies); The group launched Stoopid Records with 2001's Acoustic Roots: Live and Direct. Their successful debut and follow-up (Slightly Stoopid and The Longest Barrel Ride) were released in 1996 and 1998 on Skunk Records.
