4. Is attendance mandatory at the weekly group workout?
A. We cannot force you to attend the weekly group workout; however, your group trainer will be taking attendance as to better judge the winners at the end of the 90 days. You are solely responsible for making the most of this opportunity...It's your challenge!

5. Will there be additional group workouts scheduled throughout the week?
A. Your personal trainer may decide to schedule an additional group workout throughout the week. Participation in that workout is entirely your decision.

6. Do I have to submit a signed physicians release to participate?
A. No; however we do highly recommend you seek your physician’s approval before starting this or any exercise program.

7. Do I have to have a Facebook profile to participate?
A. Yes. You must "like" the HealthONE Red Rocks Fitness Challenge page to register for the event. Additionally, we will be utilizing Facebook as a means to communicate with all participants regarding announcements, meal ideas, and work out plans. Participants will use Facebook to post updates and information on their successes throughout the fitness challenge.

8. Is the HealthONE Red Rocks Fitness Challenge an annual event?
A. Yes. We will start the registration process again around the same time next year in February/March 2013.

9. Does my fitness level matter to participate?
A. No. We invite all people with various fitness levels to participate. At this time, we are asking all participants to classify their fitness level as either beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Personal trainers will be advised of their group makeup and will create workout routines accordingly. Modifications will be offered to match each participant’s fitness level and ability to maximize his/her results. We think it can be very encouraging and inspiring for participants to have different fitness levels in their group as each person continues through the 90 day challenge.

10. If I unexpectedly find out I cannot make the kick-off event on April 28, can I still participate?
A. Unfortunately, no. In order for us to maintain consistency and allow all participants an equal opportunity for success, we need all participants to attend the kick-off event.

11. Is the fitness testing mandatory?
A. No. However, if you do not complete the pre or post fitness testing (or miss one or the other), you will not be eligible for prizes but may still participate in the Challenge.

12. If I’m injured prior to or during the course of the fitness challenge, can I get a refund?
A. No. By signing up and agreeing to our terms and conditions you forfeit your registration fee even if you cannot complete the challenge.

13. What kinds of prizes are given away during the challenge?
A. There will be prizes awarded to the top finisher in each group, top trainer, and a prize available to all participants who finish the fitness challenge. Prizes will include Southwest Airline vouchers, Red Rocks VIP concert packages, Denver Parks & Recreation memberships, golf lessons and more.

14. Can I request a specific trainer?
A. Yes, you can so that you can be on the same team as a friend, co-worker, spouse, etc.. However, the teams are mainly for organization and each participant will have the chance to work with all trainers at different stations. This ensure learning more techniques and gaining new perspectives on the work-outs. If you would like a specific trainer, contact Erin Bauer at erin.bauer@denvergov.org.
